Awakening of  Women and Self-Enlightenment

WWD Conference in Odisha, May, 2009opening-ceremony

 

Conference: About 150 women attend from different parts of Odisha. Chief Guest of this programme was Mrs. Usa Padhi, director of Women and Children Department.

Didi Ananda Niitisudha Ac, Didi Ananda Jyotirekha Ac. Didi Ananda Kaostubha Ac, Didi Ananda Vibha and Didi Ananda Giita Ac, gave classes and workshops on yoga, kaos’iki dance, Biopsychology, personal development and on Awakening of Women.

Rally: There was a rally through the streets on “Women Awakening”fist day of Conference.  Local community gave their full support and newspapers and local television channels carried the programme daily. Sister Snehalata, Sister Rajashri and Didi Ananda Kaos’iki gave speeches on women’s issues.

 Cultural programme: Drama on “Water Crisis,” Prabhat Samgiit and folk dances were presented by Bhuvaneshvar RAWA Academy and Adrut Children’s Home. 

State Level Action committee was formed to carry out monthly activities and services of WWD.

We would like to give special thanks to Sister Rajshri, Brother Kanhu, all local volunteers  their full support to organize this program.

 Bhubaneswar-Conference2009

 WWD Conference , Alibag, Mumbai,  Nov. 12-14, 2008

 The WWD International Conference was a historic breakthrough for each and every local and overseas participant.  The venue was ideal and luxurious and greatly contributed to the success of the event. Thanks goes to the generosity of Mumbai benefactors for a this successful event.

The programme had daily yoga classes, and discussions in small groups using the “Open Space Methodology” involving each and every person fully. Each groups came up with action plans in various service projects with women such as education, PRPOUT, cottage industries, future conferences, AMURTEL, PWSA, HPMGL, Seva Dal, research work, fundraising, Dharma Pracar and Yoga psychology lectures.

 The conference ended with a spontaneous cultural programme of singing and dancing that was truly characteristic of the joy and celebrating mood of all. The women expressed their heartfelt inspiration and hope for a bright future of determined action. They made plans to have such events in their regions and in other sectors.

 

 

 

 Symposium “ Women for Social and Spiritual Progress”

Mumbai 15, November 2008

 The WWD Symposium was held at Patkar Hall of SNDT Women’s College. There were multimedia presentations on Neohumanist Education, WWD around the world, Science of Yoga and Spiritualtiy. The honorary guests Dr. Indu Shahani, sheriff of Mumbai and principal of HR College gave a supportive speech, saying that to speak at our programme was meditation for her. Sujata Anandan the 5th political women editor in the world spoke about the great women of India and that boys and girls have to be treated equally in the family.
